Today, I'm taking you through a pressure washing job at a gas station. Since the station is open, we don't want to block off everything, but we make sure to block off our working area for safety. We do this by using yellow caution tape in the middle of our work area, and we block off all the pumps except the diesel ones, since we aren't working there yet.
I recommend buying this caution tape. I got three rolls of it for under 20 bucks, and it's possibly 3,000 feet of paper. It's affordable and can be used multiple times. You can stack your cones, and I'll show you how we do it once we're done.
Now, about these water keys we use to turn on the spigots for water supply; you can get these at Home Depot or Lowe's as well. They're a great investment for about 20 bucks.
Once we're set up, we roll out our hoses and start the cleaning process. We start by hitting the outsides, working our way inward. We'll begin with this corner right here with our blue gun.
We also make sure to wash the garbage cans thoroughly. We apply a wide five-panel pattern, ensuring we get around the base and inside as well.
During the process, we pay special attention to tricky areas like spider webs and lights, using a fan pattern to prevent damage. It's worth mentioning we only use a one percent light mix for this job. We try to cover all the areas, including the canopy, the wall block, and the grounds, ensuring everything is clean.
Even though we're not specifically hired to do the grounds this time, we still rinse off the dirt and soap residue from the sidewalks and other flat surfaces. A little extra effort here can make a big difference in the overall cleanliness and presentation of the space.
After we're done with one section, we move over to the other side, always working in sections for better control and safety. This has been my go-to strategy for the past decade.
So there you have it, guys. That's how we do it. It took us some time to figure out the best way, and this method works best for us. We use a P40 and the AR-45 with the Honda unit for this job. It works amazingly to blast off the dirt and clean the lights nicely.
We've wrapped up for today, leaving the gas station looking beautiful. We're going to come back and do the concrete next time. For now, we've rinsed the sidewalks and removed all the trash and mud.
Thank you so much for watching, guys. Your support really helps the channel. Remember to hit the like button. It's always people over profits and God over everything. Let's go!
